Hello World of Bed Bugs...

Mother nature has reminded us once again of our place in the natural order.  Tucked away safely behind our borders, enjoying our processed foods and anti-bacteria products, we are being invaded in our sleep by a resurgence of a silent insect called the Bed Bug.  Growing-up, many of us heard the saying "Sleep tight, don't let the Bed Bugs bite."  And now we will learn why.

Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) was invented in first part of 1900s and used between 1939 and 1972.  The use of such pesticide nearly eradicated the Bed Bug.  Unfortunately, it also had other major negative impacts to the environment and was eventually banned in the USA in 1972.

40 years later, with international travel at an all time high, the Bed Bugs have returned.  So, we open this Blog by saying... Hello World of Bed Bugs.
