We have an annual pumpkin carving contest here in San Diego. It is an open invitation; which technically makes the winner of the contest the Pumpkin Carving Champion of the World for a year. If you Google the contest, I think it comes up on the 318th page which makes it "legit" (e.g. we believe everything Google and Facebook and the Internet tell us, right?).
This year it was a landslide decision and the winner was the pumpkin pictured below designed by 123BedBugs.com. I believe the decision was a crystal clear representation of the real issues on voters minds this year: Bed Bugs. Just ask @hasbedbugs; they will give you all the details on the rapidly increasing number of bed bug reports the last few years. Clearly those of us in the San Diego Pest Control industry need to stick together. San Diego is still not in the top 10 cities of reported Bed Bug infestations, but it is a hub for domestic travel, conventions and has a relatively high number of "Bed Bug incubators" (e.g. hotel rooms) per local resident. Who knows, maybe it will require Justin Bieber (yes, I needed to Google this) to have a raging attack of Bed Bugs before significant collective efforts are made to combat these foes. In the meantime, please visit 123BedBugs for competitive quotes on all services related to Bed Bugs and be sure to nod your head when your local Pest Control expert passes you on the street. It is only a matter of time before you will need their services.

Bed Bugs in San Diego - Marriott San Diego
If you are thinking about spending top dollar at one of San Diego's premier hotels in the Gaslamp Quarter, you might end up with an unexpected roommate. This picture was taken by a trusted source a few weeks ago st the Marriott in the Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego. Here is what happened...
Some friends of 123BedBugs.com decided to get a hotel room to celebrate a special occasion. I will spare the details (as I don't know them and don't want to know), but the comforter on the second bed had been removed from the bed. Next morning before leaving, they saw a small insect in the middle of the bed. It was just hanging out... starring them down... then started moving at what was described as "pretty quickly". They squished the insect and called housekeeping which verified it was a bed bug. Within a few minutes a two hotel employees wearing suits and head pieces (think CIA-looking) came to the room, put the bed bug (still alive) in a plastic bag, took their luggage and told them it would be cleaned and returned to them.
